Had to drop something off in north Ames this noon. There are three churches up there within a six block radius that are polling places. Parking lots didn't seem very crowded. No line out the door. A lot of early voting in Story County. My understanding is that's normal. |

https://electionresults.iowa.gov/IA/122322/web.345435/#/summary Iowa finally got all counted after lengthy delays in Story County where many machines were down the entire day (my polling location included) So much for that ridiculous fucking Des Moines Register poll, as if my opinion of that rag could have ever possibly been any lower. Triple M kept her seat in Washington and here at home I believe we gained a supermajority in the statehouse. Very well done Iowa.

I found the results very, very satisfying. Especially when 2 county sheriff's were endorsing Bohannan, who is losing/lost and the state AG who endorsed a democrat country sheriff that got beat by the Republican challenger handily. |

I was happy to see him voted out too. Their sheriff election and ours had the same similarities in reasons and such. |
