The (supposed grass roots) anti-gun lobby that was formed after the Covenant shooting is following the pattern of past anti-gun lobby groups, splitting their organization into a 501(c)(3) organization and a 501(c)(4) organization. The usual purpose for doing this is to get a different tax status for donations to one of the two organizations, due to federal restrictions on which non-profits can get political. Same thing was done when Handgun Control Inc bought the remnants of the Million Mom March to get their tax status (which the Million Mom March had heavily abused by openly campaigning for democrat politicians in the 2000 elections), then renaming both groups to different variations of Brady this or Brady that. |

Soros might have been willing to toss them money before that reveal, but I doubt he would do it afterwards. |
