Hey how is it going? I am coming over for the WPFG in Birmingham. Is there something gun related in Area you would recommend? A good gun or knife store? Will be staying close to Leeds. Nashville and Atlanta is also on the list. Thanks. Have a great day, Rob |

Welcome to Alabama! There is a basspro store is in Leeds which you might find fun just for size and selection of all manner of outdoor goods. Mark's outdoor sports In Vestavia just a couple miles from Hoover tactical so that would make a good two for one stop. Simmons sporting goods is in Bessemer. Although it's a good store not sure it's worth a special trip. Other things of possible interest: If you are a motorcycle or lotus fan check out Barbers motorsports park and museum which is in leeds. There is also a Buc-cees store there, one of three in Alabama. You're not too far from the the CMP park in Talladega, but heck they may have some marksmanship events going on there that you are attending. |

Staying in Leeds the most exciting things there have already been mentioned: If you like Barbecue there is a place that's called rusty's that's not bad. It's not the best in Bham but it's convenient If you want to visit an old country honkytonk type bar, Dee Fords in Lincoln has a house band and can be a little entertaining on Saturday night. It's located between Leeds and the CMP. Most of the crowd is older though. Vans music hall in Leeds can be OK on Saturday night depending on the band playing. |

A lot of good suggestions. The Southern Museum of Flight is a good museum in Birmingham. Hoover Tactical and indoor range. Has machineguns and the general manager is a member here. @popsmrf and @notso has a huge machinegun collection at the same location. On the road to Nashville in Huntsville is the Space and Rocket Museum along with the https://www.memorialmuseum.org/ LOTS of food in Bham. Lots of choices there. Saws, Dreamland, Nikki's West, everything from low country cooking to high end restaurants in Bham. Several local breweries. In Leeds is the https://www.barbermuseum.org/ |

| Winter Timber Outdoors in Athens, just a couple minutes off the interstate, houses St Nicks Knives. They have an insanely good selection of knives and guns as well. Guns are mostly hunting oriented, but they do carry a ton of very high end stuff. They also have the best selection of Sitka camo around in case you want to get your hands on it and see what it's all about. So if you find yourself going to Nashville, it's the exit right after Buccees. |

Went to Hoover Tactical…not much in stock, needs a dust off. Saw‘s Juke Joint had delicious food. Nice staff. At the end of the competition I will leave a folding wagon with umbrella and two folding stairs over here. Would like to give it to a junior who just started uspsa, or so. Any idea around the Birmingham area….we will also drive up to Huntsville. So if you know someone, let me know. Cheers, Rob |
