| Driving to Quebec in October and looking for suggestions on what area to stay in and things to do while there. Would prefer a decent hotel or bed and breakfast with parking $200/night within 30min of a busy area with a lot to see and do as well as good restaurants. I visited the Citadelle 20yrs ago and saw lots of great weapons, otherwise will need suggestions. Thanks |

If you have time, the view after you cross into QC at the Pittsburg/Chartierville crossing is absolutely beautiful. |

There’s a Brasserie in MTL that took their club sandwich poutine off the menu, but anytime I’m in there, they make it for me. It’s fantastic. |

for store food that's unique to Quebec, go tot he local grocery stores and buy some Creton. Great on toast. it's a spiced pork spread. Also if you like soda's, find a bottle of Spruce Beer (bière d'épinette) - one of my all time favourite sodas. Mark |
