Got this from another member in the VB/Cheasapeak area. If anyone is a member of the VA Beach GOP please bring this up with the membership. Collin Stolle, who is a Republican, needs to know that he needs to come out front and center and oppose these laws. From: Tabitha B. Unfortunately, Mr. Stolle and other members of our office are ethically prohibited from providing legal advice. I appreciate that you do not want to run afoul of the law. There have been lawsuits already filed related to this law. We wait with you to see how the courts will rule. Mr. Stolle has made the following public statement regarding SB749: “While I am a strong supporter of the 2nd Amendment, own firearms, and hunt- it is not the role of the Commonwealth’s Attorney to declare laws unconstitutional. The proper place to challenge the constitutionality of a law is in the courts. There have been multiple lawsuits filed related to this law, and the courts will have an opportunity to weigh in on this matter. | He says it's not his role and will let the courts decide. Funny how the governor and AG didn't wait for the courts to rule on the UBC injunction. They declared it moot and UBCs back in effect because of the new law the Dems passed--despite not getting enough votes for emergency enactment. So even if their legal argument is correct, it can't go into effect until 1 July. More rules for thee... |

Add feckless Republican Ross Spicer, Frederick Co. CA, to that ignominious list. While it is frustrating as h3ll, at least we now know these turncoats true colors... On a positive note, it's impressive as hell that the list of true conservative CA's (and some sheriffs) willing to take a potentially career ending stand is growing! |

Of course, when his chosen public defender won the CA’s race in Loudoun in 2019(?), she out spent the Republican 10-1 and barely squeaked by. Lost the next time.
