If anyone happens to be along the lakeshore today, catch the USS Cobia being tugged from Manitowoc to Sturgeon Bay for refurbishment. It's really far offshore for the trip, but will make its way through the SB canal this afternoon, around 6pm I think.

Was able to spend about an hour and a half on it last summer. Mid week, not many people around, pretty much had the boat to myself.

Would have been cool to be standing on the deck of the sub and casting a fishing line while it floated into Sturgeon Bay.

Had a tour of it a few years ago, it's the same class of sub that my uncle was lost in during the war (USS Golet if anyone's interested). He was an E-6 Machinist's Mate.
