The 100 block of Academy St is right at the Court St/Academy St intersection on the south side of Court. Last week on the far southwest side of town there was a shooting where the coroner was called. Nothing in the news. Guessing a self-delete. Also 2 weeks ago there was a shooting on Lincoln and Wilson (we lived on that corner in 79-80 a block from Wilson Elementary School). Guy that got shot drove himself to the hospital. 20 yr old shooter arrested. This one is only 8 blocks from this mornings shooting. |

| Well its getting weird now. On one of the scanner FB page, police were called to the scene (think his older brother lives there) when they were having a family get together. A couple cars full of black people (their words) were driving by slowly repeatedly glaring at the family. Guessing this isnt over. |

Weirdness intensifies. Timeline of events per the DA. "Aug 8 Mantezz Granger, 20, became angry after seeing his ex-girlfriend with Kaplan during a video call at Banzinga's, 1110 Kellogg Ave, and later the El-Ra Bowl, 1942 Center Ave. Witnesses told police that Granger confronted people outside the business and allegedly pointed a gun at Kaplan during an argument. Later that night, Granger went to his ex-girlfriend's home while she was still out and got into an argument with her family members, allegedly threatening them and saying that he would return with his friends. Moments later, according to the charging documents, Granger returned with several other armed men, identified by police as Demetrius Cooper, 19, Tyshawn Howe, 19, Marshaun Jones, 21, Charles Crenshaw, 20, and another man who has not been charged with the crime."
