I am looking to relocate from NY to the Tri-City area in the next year. I'm not a competitive handgun shooter, I just need a friendly range. Can anyone tell me the best place to shoot handgun and AR in this area? |

There are a few good ranges in the Tri-Cities. I live a few miles from Cherokee Rod and Gun Club which is just outside Kingsport. Unaka Rod and Gun is located in Johnson City. Wilderness Road Shooting Club is just outside Gate City, VA. Kettlefoot Rod and Gun Club is in Bristol, VA. TAC2 is in Greeneville, TN. The first 4 clubs are your standard gun club with pistol and rifle ranges, skeet/trap, etc. TAC2 is more geared to IDPA, IPSC, 3-Gun, and they also allow full-auto.
