The whole anti-data center push concerns me. All you have to do is look at whose behind it and that tells the story. The only things I'm concerned with is using farm land for them and the power consumption involved. If they use land that is unusable for farming, fine, have at it. There are also plans for centers that produce their own power so there isn't a drain on the existing grid. Maybe I'm not seeing the whole picture here but if we are content to just sit in a stagnated state, the world will just whiz by and that's the last thing we need. The whole NIMBY bunch just needs to open their eyes a little. Kind of off topic, but sorta AI related. It's 9divdoc's fault.
