Is the show any good? Have a chance to go to Friends & Family day before its officially open on September 6 and 7. Would be my first time getting to see the Blue Angels since I was a kid. We went and watched the show a few years ago and it was great, but we didn’t actually attend the show at the airfield or buy tickets. We watched it from a field on the other side of the bridge on the Dover/Durum side. Worked out great since we had young kids with us. The planes and jets buzzed right over us and we got some good photos. |

I went a couple years ago but most of the show didn't happen due to overcast. The few planes that flew were awesome, including a P51 Mustang, my favorite. The static displays are very cool. I'd never been up close and personal with military aircraft before. Very impressive. They had a parked B52 - those things are huge. I wanted to go this year but it isn't going to work out. It's definitely worth going. |

Promoters dropped the ball with the Blue Angels today. They had all day to send them out early but waited too long and they got cut short because of a storm cell that popped up. I was watching from some random field in Newington. I have a parking pass for tomorrow and I'm fully expecting to stand around in the rain all day only to find out at the last minute that they can't fly them due to the rain
