In response to the ND meet up thread I'm starting a thread for us to post what we have going on in our area. The goal is to provide us opportunities to network and be active with each other. If you have upcoming plans, events, range time, or skills you want to practice or teach then post the details here. Please @ the group or individuals when you're responding to someone, attending, or posting an event since there's not alot of activity in our hometown forum yet. This weekend there are two events posted below to meet up and get active, one ruck/hike and a 3 gun match. Hope to see some of you there. SATURDAY JAN 23rd WHAT: 7.5 mile hike. This is part of the American Pioneer Corps North Dakota chapter. To participate as an APC prospect you will need to carry a 35lb ruck (not including water weight) and a rifle or 45lb ruck without rifle. SUNDAY JANUARY 25TH WHAT: 3 gun match http://www.minotrifleandpistol.com/competition/3gun.html WHERE: minot rifle and pistol https://maps.app.goo.gl/pvB1iFnzvdA2S4sY8 WHEN: SUNDAY JANUARY 24TH 8:00 AM – Match Preparation The final touches are added to the stages. Volunteers are also needed during this time. 8:00 AM – Match Registration Registration information includes division and class you will be shooting. But don’t worry if you don’t know all the information. Range Officers are on-hand to assist. 9:50 AM – New Shooters Safety Orientation All shooters that have never participated in a USPSA match are required to attend this short safety briefing conducted by one of the Range Officers. 10:00 AM – Shooters Safety Meeting The Match Director will give any final instructions related to the days match. 10:05 AM – Match Begins 5:00 PM - Match Ends Staying afterwards to help break down the stages and putting away stage props and equipment is very much appreciated and is part of this volunteer supported sport. Plus, we often go out for dinner afterwards |
