It has been crickets since the regulars got sent to the timeout chair. Lets get something going just to get back in the swing of it. Any good topics welcomed. Sorry I don't have any pics of good bourbon. I am poor. No new builds to take pictures of......cause I am poor. No pics of sports cars..............you guessed it, I am poor. I live vicariously through those images. Lets get rolling. |

I dont do bourbon collecting or usually consumption so you're out of luck there. .. I'm in the process of collecting parts for my build on my .45 acp tinkerer build.. so i dont have them in yet to take a lot of pics of... I had a few warnings, but I've been trying to be a good boy. I had a spurt there where I was posting in GD almost daily...but I've been avoiding it. I'm mowing fields and roads and running the disc across food plots for the last couple of weekends getting ready for white tail. close friend and I got the property we hunt into one of the land management/white tail programs, so we've been doing a lot of work thinning out trees, planing fruit trees and trying to create habitat to hold bucks. this year, we're going to cull some does out where possible, fill the freezer at least. got the garage to a place where I am satisfied I can tinker and piddle around without sitting inside. It still needs some type of cooling, but I've got to get insulation sorted out first. |

Went fishing in the CHS harbor this morning, target was redfish. Caught a few sharks in the grillage, then moved over to the jetties. Nothing there, so moved to Morris Island, dead there too. Finished up under the bridge and headed back to the marina by noon. Lots of charter boats around us, nobody was landing any fish. |

I tried to go fishing in a lake off of Santee a few weeks ago and the water was so low that I couldn’t launch my boat. I decided to take a kayak and try again. This time, I counted 8 alligators that I could hit with a rock, from the landing. I decided the fishing probably wouldn’t have been much good anyway.  Attached File |

They would be cool if you did that in red as well and put them in the bow. |

Boat is a 19 foot 1972 LoneStar. Did a full refurb on it. Had to shovel the inside, out. Transom and all. Put over a hundred replacement hull rivets in. Used several hundred doing the inside. All prior wood is now aluminum, with the exception of the transom, which was coated in fiberglass and clad in aluminum before install. The bow in front of the steering wheel was enclosed, so I opened all that up and made it useful. Took several months, was a lot of fun doing it. I enjoy wiring and riveting too much. I'm still here, but I stopped regularly checking in on this subforum about the time Ponti passed. I haven't been to any gatherings. I haven't been to any gunshows. Of course, I'm still boring and just getting older. Who is gone now? Are Brohawk and d16 still the moderators, or ??? I'm not understanding what is different or changed. |
