I’m from Virginia and never heard of it before, but my wife’s family is from Nebraska and it was recently mentioned casually that my late father-in-law loved a slice of plain iceberg lettuce with something called “Dorthy Lynch” dressing on it and that it was some kind of local Nebraska condiment. Curious, I mail ordered a bottle. It’s ok - to me kind of like overly sweet French salad dressing, but if you check on the Web it has a pretty good back story and history. I always like the idea of these little regional products, but is it a big deal in Nebraska? Do you use Dorthy Lynch a lot, keep a bottle in the fridge? |
