Laurens County is a train wreck. Maybe I'm biased because my father in law was killed there and the sheriff covered it up. Or maybe because that's where my sister stays addicted to meth with her many baby-daddy's. But to me the best thing about Laurens county is I-26 out of it. I'm sure there are nice areas. I've never seen them. |

There may be differing opinions from people who live there. But I live in Richland County, the state capital of weed and gang crimes, and I don't have any love for Laurens or Orangeburg Counties. Greenwood County and Newberry County are right next door. They are lovely. Can you live there instead? |

| Clinton is a nice little town and Laurens has everything you need. It’s just a short hop to Greenville, and that’s one of the fastest growing parts of the state. The Sawmill range is in Laurens and Clinton House is just across the interstate. Both of those host numerous matches and shooting related events. |

I liked Newberry County. My wife worked in the town of Newberry for many years. Taxes were a bit better than Richland or Lexington County. What I also liked about Newberry County is that it is one place where the Richland County gangs rearm, resupply, and hide out*. Having to be on the down-low and not operate operationally in Newberry keeps things tame. * troof: this came out in the court case over the 3 drive-by shootings I had next door in the Richland side of Irmo |

My friend lives in Mauldin, and there is a few hippies there, its fairly nice though. I not been all over it but visited a few times. its about 30-40 minutes from Clinton House. I usually stay with him and we go to the psa event there. Took his son with us last year, and he bitched all day, now he can't wait to go this year lol. not familiar with much else there, other than a few parts of Greenville next door to it. |
