Say "we want to make it harder for criminals to get guns, and for licensed concealed carry holders to carry them". But the mere idea of a conservative policy actually being implemented is completely foreign to types like Cornyn. Instead, the bill was a DC compromise - the Democrats got half of what they wanted, the rest to be gotten later. Republicans got nothing, but claimed they worked hard to make the bill less bad than it could have been. Any why not? Cornyn has far more in common, and is far more friendly, to Democrat Senators. He likes those people, it's his voting base that he despises. I fully expect him, and his various hangers on, to do everything they can to help the Democrat win this race. For it's not being out of office that they mind, that comes and goes. It's being out of power. And if another Republican is in that seat, their gravy train is over once and for all. |

JOhn Cornhole voted for antigun legislation and Amnesty for illegal aliens. You are not getting my vote after that. We will see what Paxton does. Not who he has ice cream with, which is irrelevant. It's not a negative quality to be able to sit and talk to someone in a rational, normal setting, stop it.
