I recently purchased a K31 rifle that came with troop ID tags. Would be curious to try and track down the person it was issued to. I tried on Gunboards, but didn't really get much help. From what one person deciphered he came up with:
Gebert Xaver, Lindenhof St, Rapperswill, St Gallen, Canton Bern. Born Aug 16, 1935 I tried a Swiss phone book link to see if anything would come up and I got the following: Käch Xaver (-Gebert) 041 320 54 08 (phone #) Klösterlistrasse 24 6010 Kriens I know that the 216 386 is the rifle serial #. I was wondering if any of our Swiss brothers in Arms would like to take a stab at this and see if they can verify or come up with something more. Thank you.
