A while ago a sushi joint opened up in Delano - Umiya (Umiya12 to be precise) - and it is legit. Yeah, ok, they like stuffing avocado into shit which is weird too me…but their sushi is pretty on point for something in the Midwest for sure - it’d do pretty well on the east coast/NY area, too. Lord knows I’ve had worse sushi there  Anyway if you’re west of the cities and Delano isn’t far off your beaten path and you’re craving some sashimi, you’re in luck… |

About a hundred years ago I went in a bar in Young America that had tractor seats as the bar stools. It was about as gritty a beer joint as I have seen. That sounds like it happened on another planet compared to your inquiry about sushi joints west of the cities. And I like sushi. |
