Would this be an accurate time line: The 2027 Legislative TimelinePre-Filing (November – December 2026): Lawmakers can begin drafting and "pre-filing" bills months before the official session starts. If a delegate wants to revive the suppressor tax, the text of the new bill could be made public late this year. Session Convenes (January 13, 2027): The 2027 Virginia General Assembly session is constitutionally scheduled to begin on the second Wednesday in January. This is the official start date when new bills are formally introduced on the house floor. The Short Session (January – February 2027): In odd-numbered years like 2027, Virginia holds a "short session" that lasts only 46 days. Because the schedule is so compressed, bills move very fast through committees. |

the end of that timeline would be the law going into effect on 7/1/27 now, of course, there are ways to get it to take emergency effect before then, but the likelihood she can meet the the constitutionally set forth requirements for that to happen is unlikely of course she tried to ignore the Virginia constitution this year, so why not next year too? |

The problem is, doesn't she get to replace 2 of the more conservative SC judges this coming year? So instead of 4-3 against her, generally, it would be 4-3 against the constitution. I think that is going to have a terrible effect that no one really knows how bad it's going to be. |

This is what’s really scary. The dems already packed the Court of Appeals (they expanded it back 2020ish and filled it with the type of jurists you’d expect). Some of the rulings that are coming out of that court are mind boggling- KBJ level scary. They get to do that to the Supreme Court and we’re in for a rough ride. |

So if we can tax suppressors to get rid of those, that will cut down on crime? Or it is scary looking weapons? Or, is it Glock switches? Or is it, the dreaded ghost guns? Or is it FRTs? Honestly, I can't keep up with all the good that needs to be done to cut down on crime, and by crime, I of course mean cutting down on the law-abiding citizens firearms rights. Why do I thinking of the scene from The Outlaw Josey Wales where Captain Terrill says to Fletcher "Doin' right ain't got no end." |
