| Do they no longer follow their own rules/regs? Thought they had to have your permit to you in 90 days? Sent mine in jan 22nd. Started emailing them daily last two weeks. I got a response that it was printed on may 2nd and can take 3-4 weeks to get to me??????? |

In my opinion SLED has never been a supporter of CWPs. I have had similar experiences with my first issue and a renewal. My last renewal in 2025 only took a month. Since we now have constitutional carry, they seem to have a I don’t give a flip attitude because you don’t need one for concealed carry in SC. They don’t care about us having to travel to other states that require us to have a valid CWP to carry as a non-resident. Sorry that you are going through this. |
| I keep it to skip nics and make things easier on shops. Also like you said reciprocity. Almost 3 months to print out a renewal when ive held a cwp here since 2006. Then 3-4 weeks to get it to me is crazy. Its like last time i went to the dmv for my handicapped pass renwal. First time they printed it out. Last time they said it will be coming in the mail from blufton. This is the north charleston dmv. |
| Keel has been vocal anti "civilian" carry as long as he's held that position; pretty sure he's voiced his opposition to "civilians" being able to carry every time anything has come up for discussion or a vote and the department seems to go out of their way to make things more difficult than they should or need to be. We have plenty of qualified sheriffs and other law enforcement officers who are actually on the side of we the people of SC and should replace him. JMO- and pretty much everyone else's I've ever talked to as well. |

Wat? 0_o Pro-tip: Travel to and through only states with Constitutional Carry?

| I have a friend that works there. He "walked over" my CWP. Still took them 2 weeks to get it to him and then to me. |

| I had to contact my state rep to light a fire under their ass. Got it 3 days later. Even though the old license is expired, as long as you have applied for a renewal you are still valid. Now not sure how that would sit with other states that we have reciprocy with. |
