Can a Nebraska resident buy a long gun in a neighboring state, have it transferred there, and travel home with it? IE: Nebraska resident travels to South Dakota, buys a long gun at a gun store, takes possession of it, and goes back home to Nebraska.

Got a couple guys here arguing about it, they asked me. Google was only concerned with handguns.

Yes.  On my last trip to CO Springs I bought a new rifle (they had what I wanted in stock and at a great price).  I drove home with it w/o any issues.
