He is the only thing, and he's done admirably at being that gatekeeper. I have no complaints about his performance to date. First choice in the primary? His gun control comments when he was the Clark County Sheriff made me nervous, but to my knowledge, as governor, Lombardo has blocked gun control, supports voter ID, supports school choice, and helped Republican legislative candidates with the goal of preventing a Democrat supermajority in both chambers. So far, in my opinion he's been as good as or better than any other Republican governor I've seen in this state, and I was born here and have lived here for most of my life. |

There was no lack of hesitation when he was the candidate based on his prior record as Sheriff. I've been surprised, and in a good way, at how good he's been for conservative issues here since his election. Let's not forget that he's working with the very thinnest of margins preventing a veto override by the socialists. |

I'm really impressed that he's trying to help build the Republican equivalent of the Reid Machine. That seems really forward thinking to me. |
