I was in Alliance earlier this week and had the opportunity to talk to some landowners.
The topic of hunting came up and turned to antelope.
I have always had this at the back of my mind to do at some point.
Next year, this might be possible.
Made contact with potential landowner hosts.
Have plenty of time to plan for season - vacation time from work.
Will get in the lottery draw for permit.

So, I am looking for recommendations for a rifle set-up.
I have .308 and .30-06 available.
The .30-06 is a lever action Winchester without a scope mount solution.

What round?  What scope for this hunt?
What other items would you recommend for a successful hunt?
