What are some great Italian sit down restaurants in the Little Italy area of San Diego, or close to Balboa Park? I’d like to take the Mrs out for a special night. And for less fancy lunch a friend mentioned Mona Lisa Italian Foods for subs. Anything else like that? Thanks a lot. |
| Can't speak to dinner, but Davanti Enoteca had a pretty darn solid DIY bloody mary bar a few years back. All the options. Solid top 3 ... ever ...for me. YMMV For dinner, we've always gone to the Brigantine on the water. Over by gas lamp area (too far to walk from Little Italy, but there is the red tram) , Water Grill (not Blue Water Grill), had probably he best clam chowder I've ever had. |
