Yep. It was something the media tried very hard to gloss over after the Sandy Hook shooting. The rifle was AWB compliant at that time. CT's had an AWB since 1993/1994. There are those who assume that when the Fed AWB sunset in 2004 that it also sunset in CT and wasn't brought back until after Sandy Hook.
