Grabbed a friend of mine and we took a road trip to Brownells. Took the back roads, made for a very enjoyable drive. I wanted to pick up an order I made and my buddy was along for conversation and browse the used guns. Checking out the clearance table, I picked up 11 boxes of S&B 45ACP for $15 a box. The also had S&B 9mm($10) and 10mm($15) in very limited quantity. They did not last long. My friend picked up a Uberti lever action in 44 Magnum for half the cost of what his dealer price would have been from a distributor. As usual, the staff was very nice, very helpful and great to chat with. We were there very early and hardly anyone was there. It was a pretty relaxed atmosphere. Sat in the lobby and chatted with some other customers, which was nice. It has been awhile since I have been there, noticed that the soda fountains were gone as well as the hot chocolate. Store was re-arranged, less inventory on the floor, but a nice suppressor display. All in All, a great day. |

I get there three or four time a a year. Had good luck with their used guns. Inventory was down the last time I was there. Could have been a seasonal thing, could have been balancing inventory with demand. I doubt the store is a huge money maker. I see decent crowds in there but never overwhelming. |
