Since when does denny's serve alcohol? Or maybe they're hoping to piggyback off the actual law.

some of them do serve alcohol

I know the one in Flagstaff serves beer....I haven't seen any served at this one. Regardless, it still has a sign. Since April that I know of.

Ditto with the one on Bell and Reems in Surprise. Just got back from lunch there.

You would think they would support guns as the one near Desert Sky mall was robbed at gun point in 2004/05. I forget the time frame.

I'll have to have breakfast somewhere else now Of all the places??

They can't be serious...especially considering all the guns tacked up on their walls, and the holstered toy six-shooters their waitresses wear?!?

Somebody buy 'em a clue...

- chipotle @ via linda/royal palm and hayden in scottsdale = no guns sign by their liquor license - big sign - 8.5 x 11, handgun w/ the red "NO" sign through it and on top of that there is verbage that states no firearms (verified today, 10/23/2009)

- chipotle @ 92nd st and shea = can't find their liquor license but did see alcohol in their fridge, also didn't see any gun signs so who knows about this location

so, who makes quick mexican food like chipotle around these areas that is gun friendly.

Had to go to applebees for a work function today.  They had 2 signs on the hostess podium.  No adjacent liquor license though.  I looked all around from that vantage point and couldn't see a liquor license or additional sign.  In my opinion they are not in compliance and therefore the obvious signs are meaningless.

La Fonda Mexican Restaurant between Cottonwood and Camp Verde.

They had 2 signs on each door and at least 2 signs on each wall in addition to the one by the liquor license. I was told it was for the protection of the servers and bussers. They didn't seem to care that our party of 5 regular customers would not be returning.

In the Yuma area:

Cocopah Korner, Hwy 95 and County 15th. Has two "no race guns" signs, one in spanich, of course.

I told the nice lady there, that I'll not shop here until they take the sign down.

BTW, it's a discount beer-cigarette-gas station place, not a bar or restaurant. I don't think the rule even applies.

Great thread.

I am going to keep my eyes peeled also, and will not spend money at any establishment that bans firearms.

Need to stay on top of this kind of stuff so AZ remains free. I came from Illinois, and let me tell you, you DON'T want that!

Toby Keith's "I <heart> this bar and grill" in the Mesa Riverview behind Bass Pro.

Kinda surprising, since Keith is such a supporter of the military. Keith has done USO shows, had that popular song from a few years ago about the military (called the red, white and blue or somesuch) and has menu items called the 'American Soldier' and 'Freedom Fries.' He even has his BDU's from a USO tour framed on the wall.

The Flagstaff Mall had signs up at the JCPenneys. My first reaction was, "when did Penny's start selling booze?" I'm guessing it was for the food court, but since I have never ventured that far I have no idea.

Mr. Robert Ott
President /CEO, Claim Jumper Restaurants
[email protected]

It is with great sadness that last night brought to a close my 30 year relationship with Claim Jumper Restaurants. I started eating at Claim Jumper when I was still small enough to stand on the scale. I brought my date to the Laguna Hills location for Junior Prom back in 1985, and I'd take my mother to the Mission Viejo location whenever I visited. Here in Arizona, I was thrilled when you opened the Phoenix and then the Avondale location. I live half-way between the two and frequent both.

I brought my party to the Phoenix location last night for a celebration and was greeted by a large "No Firearms" sign on the door. I absolutely support your right to prohibit law-abiding citizens from carrying a firearm on your premises. I am happy for your success, as in these difficult economic times, you must be doing very well indeed to spit in the faces of such a large section of your market. My friends and I, we vote with our wallets, and will patronize those establishments that respect our right to self-defense. We also network. I will be relating my experiences on several mailing lists and discussion forums. I figure a thousand people will know by lunch time, and 10,000 by dinner. Or maybe they already know and I'm the slow one.

In any case, once again, thank you for clearly stating what you think of me and my 30 years of loyal patronage. You will not have me or any of my extensive network of associates sully your establishment again. I'll miss the blueberry muffins the most.

T. Mark Graham
President
Arizona Response Systems.
