Hey guys, my son is now living near Morrisville, NC. I have raised him shooting IPSC, Steel Challenge, 3-Gun, and other competitive matches. Where are the good 2-Gun, 3-Gun, IPSC and other matches being held near Morrisville? What is the action-shooting-friendly outdoor range in the area? Don't tell me a good southern state like NC has less competitive shooting than a yankee state like Ohio. Can it be? Thanks! |

PSR37 has matches, but it's a little over an hour away: https://www.37psr.com/ TSA is very close by and I think they have matches: https://www.triangleshootingacademy.com/ The Wake County range is free, and used to host matches, but I don't know if they do since the change to new management: https://www.ncwildlife.gov/outdoors/shooting-ranges-north-carolina/wake-county-firearms-education-and-training-center People like OnPoint, but I've never been there: https://aimonpoint.com/rpsl/ Durham County Wildlife Club has pistol matches, but they are super Fudly and I don't go there anymore: https://dcwc.info/sports/pistol Personal Defense used to have pistol matches, but I haven't been there in years. Durham Pistol and Rifle in Mebane has matches open to the public. DPRC.org. I am a member there but haven't shot matches in a while. Theres also Sir Walter Gun Club up near Creedmoor. Their website lists a few USPSA matches. Sirwaltergunclub.com |

He's looking again now that he's bought a house and settled in. Sir Walter puts on some good-looking matches. Those videos led me to The Range in Oxford, which does some matches too. Enough to get him out to some matches and see what's up. Thanks for all the tips. |
