Looking to join a range near the seacoast area. Willing to drive about half an hour from the Epping area. I’m thinking of joining major Waldrons because they offer up to 300 yards. I know some ranges go out to 600 but they’re a little further away. Is it worth the drive if I’m only going once or twice a month? I’ve been a member at major Waldron’s previously and they never seem too busy. Can anyone say from experience if the ranges that offer longer distance shooting are very busy or not? |

If you are looking for distance shooting, Nashua F&G has a 600 yard KD range. It's usually open to the public on Saturday mornings. You'll have to qualify at that distance in order to shoot (obviously). Was always a blast and bring a buddy as you'll have to swap out pulling targets. I'd rejoin Nashua, but it's infiltrated with political loons and exorbitantly expensive. ETA: As for Major Waldron, it's quiet. Like too quiet. |

They have/had $5 walk-in range shoots on Saturdays in the summer. Personally, I would not join NFGC as it's all shitheads from Massachusetts now and the club meetings are akin to a bunch of old ladies arguing about yarn. Side note: Man, I really miss sandpits... |
