Years ago, I went to the range at Nockmixon with a couple firemen buddies.

I looked a the website and it didn't mention a shooting range. Is it gone?

That range has been closed for 36 years. It closed in 1990 due to safety, noise, lack of state workers to maintain it.

It mainly closed due to a bunch of Karens complaining.
