RIFL is a direct violation of the Federal level Protection of Lawful Commerce in Arms Act, but Illinois government has never let violating the law or the Constitution stop them from passing a bill into law. It would be like forcing Ford to pay out a portion of the cost of every car accident in the United States regardless of who was at fault in the accident, and regardless of who manufactured the vehicles there were in the accident. To boot, I am fairly certain they just pulled the $866 million of "financial impact" number out of their butt to have a value so onerous it will put all manufacturers in Illinois out of business as soon as it passes. It is a defacto ban on firearms manufacturing in Illinois if it passes. I regret that I had to leave Illinois and all my family and friends behind, but glad I got out before the RIFL act inevitably passes.... Sven Manticore Arms |
