| Let me preface by saying I and my son live in Florida, where it is cold but nowhere near what you guys are experiencing or will be this weekend. My son has plans to drive and visit his girlfriend in Rock Hill and will be going up on Sunday morning. I have been watching the weather channels and was wondering if you guys have heard about how bad it is going to get for this weekend? I know we won't know until it happens but he thinks everything is going to be fine. He is only 21 and already thinks he knows everything but he is a really good kid. He works for the local fire dept. here,which I thought would make him think about accidents due to weather conditions but he is stubborn like me. I have been telling him to go another time as he has never ridden in snow let alone ice, if you guys get any. Any help I could get would be appreciated with weather tips,thanks. |

Only time will tell how much snow and ice we will get in SC. In general, we don’t have as much equipment and crews as a state further north where snow is more common. As a result, streets take longer to get cleared up. People don’t have as much experience in the snow as northern drivers, so you can expect more fender benders and vehicles sliding off the road. |
