If I am a SC resident and have a G17.5MOS that I am desiring trading for a G19.5MOS, am I ok doing a F2F sale without a bill of sale or FFL transfer? *sidenote, what’s the best option for finding a G19.5MOS to trade with? |

No paperwork is required to buy/sell/trade so long as you and the other party are both SC residents and neither of you are prohibited from possessing the firearms. You could post up what you want to trade in the equipment exchange. There is also a link to South Carolina specific EE ads in the SC hometown forum. All that said, IMO your best bet for private sales is to go to an SC gun show and look for tables with private sales or people carrying the unmistakable Glock clamshell. I see Glocks on private sale at pretty much every gun show I've been to especially the larger ones in Columbia and Greenville. Good luck! |
