It started out cool and overcast and ended up hot and windy.

Thanks to everyone that came out early to help set things up and everyone that stayed after to help put it all away.

Pay close attention to the fact than an AR-15 in 223 shot a 390/400 today.  Richard is the man.

And all of you that stayed home again got beat by a bunch of girls...

Next Sunday is the Tactical Rifle match.  See you there.

Lots of people came out yesterday to shoot rifles like rifles.

We shot steel targets from 100-300 yards and ran with scissors.  Good times.

The best part of the day was around 7:30 when lots of people starting rolling in to help with set up.  Some mornings there is only two of us setting up the whole thing. It is a huge help to everyone when people wake up a bit early and come out and help.  We were done with set up by 8:45.

This Sunday is the annual AK vs AR match in Pueblo.

Far target is 200 yards and it is a 6 MOA target.  Very iron sight and dot friendly.

This Sunday is the *ONLY* Pueblo match where steel core ammo is allowed.  All other matches leave it at home.

Hope to see you there.

We had absolutely awesome weather yesterday. Temps in the 70s with a light breeze.  Who knew shooting 22s could be so much fun.

Lots of people managed to connect with the tough targets for the match. A one inch plate at 100 meters and a 2 inch plate at 150 meters.

The Test Your Limits Rack was a huge hit and several people managed to go 8 for 8. Hitting a 1/4 inch target at 39 yards was not an easy shot.

We had several semi autos yesterday. Three AR-15s and one 10-22. Mrs K won semi auto division with a 57 and WiseAsset was hot on her heals with a 56.

With the bolt guns it looks like the old 40X was well represented. 5 of the 17 shooters shooting a bolt gun used a 40X. CZ and Anschutz are the other common rifles.

Lots and lots of people were shooting suppressed. In fact, I didn't put an ear plug in all day.

The next match is Sunday, 27 Nov.

I am going to try and run a match on New Years Day but I need to get approval from the host range. Stay tuned.

Great match today.

We finished up before it got too hot and had fun shooting at the now legless and tailless steel coyote.

Carl B shot an excellent match with his 20 inch AR-15 hitting 34 out of 40 targets.  Pretty damn solid shooting.

The position of the day was sitting, unsupported, off a pack.  No sticks or bipods allowed.  Turned out to be pretty damn hard.

It turned out to be an excellent day to shoot.  Perfect temps, light breeze and good friends.

Huge thanks to the people that stepped up to run things when it looked like I would be in Florida flying hurricane support missions.  I really appreciate it.

The position of the day was the short tank trap.  Like really short.  If you put too much pressure it rocked, not enough and your crosshairs danced around.  The thought of this prop, for me anyway, your out Elk hunting and you see a big bull at 450 yards and you can't go prone because of the weeds but there is an old stump to use as a rest.  There was several different ways to skin this cat.  Even an 81 year old was willing to come play with us and Stu brought out his 16 inch 260.

The small target for the day was a 3x5 plate.  Everyone hit it at least once.  The other difficult target was a 6x6x6 triangle.  If you hold center you don't have much room for wind errors, hold low you might miss under, ect.  I missed that damn thing twice, once off sticks and once off the tank trap.

Traust shooting bags were used by a huge majority of the shooters.
