Located between KC & Lawrence, Mill Creek Rifle Club is an incredible facility with the opportunity to learn shooting from field positions (Standing, Kneeling, Seated & Prone) at 100, 200, 300 and 400 yards using nothing but your sling to stabilize the rifle. A range fee of $10 per shooter paid on site is required, please bring cash. Attendees will have the opportunity Sunday morning to shoot a non-Appleseed CMP Service Rifle match for a $20 fee before Sunday's Appleseed clinic begins. Full details are below. This is a centerfire only (8mm max caliber) clinic open to all rifle types with any sighting system. We'll fire about 400 rounds during the 2 day rifle clinic.  $110 clinic fee gets you two days of high quality instruction in the the fine art of riflery. You can register online until May 30th. Walk ons will be accepted if space allows but these usually sell out. Project Appleseed participants wishing to participate in the match may do so by registering Sunday morning for $20 with the match organizer. CMP Match schedule Meet at 100 yard firing line of High Power range 8:00 AM - Target set up (help appreciated) 8:30 AM - Registration ($20 per adult/$5 junior) 9:00 AM - Match begins 12:00 PM - Estimated match end Scoring - Electronic target scoring will be used. You can see your hits on your phone, tablet or iPad (all brands). Rifle rules - All centerfire rifle and sighting types of any magnification will be permitted. Match director will assign the appropriate category based on your equipment. Course of Fire - All stages are fired from 200 yards. 5 sighters and 10 record shots slow fire prone in 15 minutes 10 shots rapid fire prone from standing in 80 seconds 10 shots slow fire standing in 10 minutes All competitors will be allowed to fire the course two times.
