Anybody here have problems with Pro Health when you try to see your PCP? The last three times pro health wanted me to see urgent care or go to the ER instead of my PCP. Retired on Medicare and have a medicare supplement for insurance. |

I'm on medicare and supplemental insurance also, but a different insurance company. |

I asked the question to the Ms. who is in the healthcare field (not Pro Health) and her answer without hesitation was " that's because the provider is booked solid for the next 6-8 weeks. If you are trying to get an appointment with Pain Medicine or Mental Health you will be looking at 6 month for a office visit. |
| I had to talk to a nurse, as soon as I mentioned driving up medicare cost she sent me to my PCP nurse to schedule a visit for Thursday morning. |

There's been a rapid population increase post-covid, but the increase in doctors hasn't kept up. I have AFIB, so I'm being treated by an electrophysiologist (cardiologist who specializes in the electrical aspects of the heart), and at the end of an appointment he'll say something like "come back in 2 months". On my way out, I stop at the desk to make that 2 month appointment and find out he's booked solid for the next 3 months.  But he's considered one of the best in WI, so I live with the wait, I feel lucky to see him at all. |
