I know years ago, MD was the only state with an AWB that you could go buy preban (94) mags and be fine.

Is that still so?

MA has had an AWB since 1994 with the federal ban. In 2004 when the federal ban expired MA kept it in place on a state level and adopted (almost) word for word the same laws.

Preban is still very much alive and well in MA.

There is a proposed bill in MA that will wipe out much of gun ownership. Thankfully, the pro-2A orgs in MA have caused it to stall for now. So no changes as of now.
