Here is a link to a petition by WIgunowners.org to change the suppressor law so we can enjoy the recent ruling by the 5th circuit court, and the inevitable fall of NFA regulation of sbs,sbr, and suppressors. I think the petition should cover all 3 not just cans. Link |

| The petition is a great idea, but all that bullshit marketing crap after the actual meat & potatoes isn't necessary, and keeps me from signing, as this organization has been known to be nothing more than a fundraiser for it's founder. They (or he) are not associated with any national groups, such as GOA as the name might hint at. It's just another fundraiser. |

Agreed I had heard that corey graff had been replaced..... but obviously he's still in charge. He is a single person who years ago collected mucho money from gun guys, stated multiple times that he was HUGELY involved in legislation and had met with multiple legislative people, BUT NO ONE EVER REMEMBER SEEING HIM And of course his expeses took all the donated money. It is imperative that we get Tom Tiffany into the governor's mansion, kick Josh Kaul out into the street and, at minimum, retain a majority in either the state assembly or the state senate. As far as Corey Graff's "organization" is concerned, I wouldn't give them a moment of my time, let alone a dime of my money. Gary |

The ATF can't answer that, needs to come from WI DOJ or AG. What's the official position on that? Yes or no? People have opinions, but nothing official. Has any group bothered to ask that question? If so, they might get my donations. |

What we need is not a petition to change the law, but a lawsuit to fight it's interpretation, if the WI AG issues an opinion that the current WI law on suppressors, stating "compliance with [federal] licensing & registration" is a no go for the plaintiffs to purchase suppressors here. If I, as an indivual, wanted to sue the state over this, I pay the legal fees. Let's assume a number, just a guess... $50,000? What if I have a co-plaintiff, now it's $25,000 ea. But what if I have 4,999 co-plaintiffs? Now it's $10 ea. If it's 10,000 plaintiffs, it's only $5 ea. If it's only 500 plaintiffs, it's $100 ea, and so on. Isn't this what they call a class action suit? I assume the cost will rise as the plaintiff group grows, but it will not be anywhere near $50K per plaintiff. If the cost doubles to $100K, with 5,000 plaintiffs, that's $20 ea. The sad part of this situation is where only plaintiffs get relief. If something is ruled unconstitutional for one or two citizens, it should be so for all citizens. The 14th Amendment is supposed guarentee equal protection under the law. But unless you have the deep pockets to file your own lawsuit to restore your rights ("as applied to you"), or a large organization to fund it, you lose your rights. Justice is for the rich only, it seems. A good example is the case in New Mexico completed with a ruling just last week. Two people sued the state over it's 7 day waiting period on all gun purchases, claiming it was unconstitutional. They won. But who won? Just those TWO people! They're the only 2 winners, because they had the means to suppport the suit. Everyone else in New Mexico is still subject to the 7 day wait. Equal rights? LOL... |
| Have you talked with WILL, GOA, or FPC about this? Depending on how things get clarified but the ATF and state, maybe they'd be willing and would need a plaintiff. Not sure if this is something WCI would take on though |
