I dropped in there today, first time in several months. This is the store directly across from SLED on Broad River Rd. I have purchased firearms there a number of times over the past 20 years. They now have a big sign when you walk in the door stating they no longer sell firearms to the general public, only LEO/first responders, military, and similar. No exceptions for veterans (unless you are a retiree with ID). I turned and walked right back out. Their house, their rules, I guess. Just posting here in case anybody that does not fall into the exceptions was thinking of making a special trip over there. I guess they do not like my money. Lawmen's Safety Supply on Broad River did the same thing a year or two before going out of business. The manager of that store told me their firearms sales dropped over 75% because of that policy and directly contributed to the eventual closing. |
Our idea of a rough TDY was if the hotel did not have a swimming pool.

I was in Columbia on a travel gig so not being able to buy a firearm wasn't a big deal for me. But I got some great deals at Lawman's when I was there. |

Wow, not even on the State Contract. If you’ve ever been curious what agencies pay for firearms, he’s what they are paying in SC. https://procurement.sc.gov/contracts/search?d=21160-9919-0-0 I use to have to shop shit off this website all the time. Agencies aren’t required to buy from it, but some do because it makes it easy for the purchasing department that handles the mountains of paperwork that goes with buying widgets. |
