Im hoping to be wrapping things up on my truck build in the next few weeks and will be looking into the paint situation over the next year or so.. I figure a good shop is gonna be that backed up anyways.. Im not really sure what I want to do... The paint on the truck is decent.. For being 32 years old. Its been this red ever since my dad bought it back in 1994.. Truck is factory blue so that ship has sailed.. Im just kinda over the bright ass red. A couple years after my pops passed and I have taken over the build.. I have considered a wrap.. Not sure about those... But Im not sure about a whole color swap paint job... Im def open to opinions. Also.. let me say this.. I am not wanting a 100k SEMA job lol.. Lots of guys out here doing good work for a good price.. I just dont know em lol Attached File |

If you're looking for something to carry you over until you decide exactly what you want to end up with, you can try a 'dip' finish. There's a YT channel called dipyourcar that shows how to do some cool finishes, and when you're ready for the final finish they just peel off. Some look pretty damn cool, I have to admit. Larry |

wraps are too expensive to be "temporary" until you decide on paint. A good wrap job on a vehicle like that will run you probably $5k. I'd just make a decision on the paint and proceed with it, if I were in your shoes. Unless you have money to burn on the wrap to hold you over, then, there are a dozen places I can list that will do it for you. |
