I live in a county with solid black bear population and I bought a bear tag in case I get the opportunity. My local friends all moan at the thought of taking a bear to the check station. Not because of the transportation hassle but because of interaction with game wardens. They all recount the experience as being interrogated by wardens like they had committed a crime. Like any law enforcement interaction I generally don't answer questions. So I ask the hometown, what information do you legally have to provide the game wardens at the check station? Anyone with experience know what questions are asked? |
