Visiting my brother this next weekend. I saw that the Original Jackson Gun Show will be happening. How is this show? Size, quality of vendors, range of items (antique to modern, or does it mainly lean one way), etc It would be a bit of drive from his place. Thanks |

Gonna be honest, I haven't been to a gunshow in years. The last one that I went to, all the stereotypes were met. High prices, used junk, china holsters and knives, etc. Full disclosure, I'm a real cynical SOB. You do have to pay to get in, so keep that in mind if you are just wanting to kill time. The Trademart where it is held is new and fairly nice. It's still Jackson though. But the new Capitol Police do a much better job than JPD ever did. Where does your brother live? |

Buddy of mine worked jun shows for years selling his designed slings, holsters, etc. The quality brought in the customers. He also did custom work and repair work though. I have helped him at many a show over the years. I always hope to find those gems. But the new Capitol Police do a much better job than JPD ever did. I take this to mean the Capitol Police are keeping crime at bay better than JPD had/does. Where does your brother live? He is North Haven. He has made a few business trips to Jackson, it is about 6 hours round trip. The killing time would be us BSing on the drive. I usually am looking for reloading equipment, and the oddity when I go to a show. |
