What are the chances of getting pulled over driving from Douglas Ga to the Fl state line towing a brand new cargo trailer without a tag? I will have the certificate of origin and bill of sale dated for the day I am towing it. Would you take I-75 or back roads? I don't ever plan on tagging/registering the trailer. It will be strictly used for storage space on my property. Any opinions? Thanks' |

They apparently sell direct. https://www.hermescargotrailers.com/ I know people on their supplier side but not the actual biz, theres a ton of people building trailers in Douglas, when private equity killed off the corporate trailer plants in the neighboring counties, it seems like everyone that could get a LLC and knew a welder opened a plant. I have driven past them on 32 but never been in there, theres several people in Douglas selling direct and the pricing is pretty much similar from all of them. |
I pulled an untagged trailer from AZ -> GA last year. Bought it only a few days prior. Just kept sale papers with me.

I pull all sizes of old and newer trailers back and forth from FL line to Vienna/ Dooly County area. Often times there is no tag or updated sticker. We have never had a problem. If you have a new trailer with the paperwork, you will prolly be fine as long as you are not driving too fast. Keep it under 75 mph would be my advice. |

I pull a trailer through Douglas fairly regularly, tag is always falling off so I just leave it in the truck. Can't remember the last time I was pulled over for that. I would take 441 South, avoid Valdosta if you can and go south that way. Nothing out that way for a long while. |
