| As the title suggests, looking for recommendations for a transfer shop. I buy a few guns a year, typically old collectible stuff, so like to find someone who's used to handling C&R/Gunbroker transfers and doesn't charge an insane amount. Live near Oak Park Mall, though happy to drive a little ways for the right place. Any pointers greatly appreciated! |

From oak park mall area I would check the following Mission pawn GT distributors Olathe gun shop Penguin pawn I know Harrison street pawn in hillsdale is at $25 for a transfer but might be a hike from the mall. The bullet hole shooting range is north from you but I don’t remember them being cheap on transfers. Center fire shooting range in olathe does transfers |

Just make the trip to Harrison Street Pawn and Gun. Not really a pawn shop anymore. Husband and wife. They have their shit together. Good people. Centerfire in Olathe doesn’t even check on approvals if you’re delayed. They just wait the full 7 days or whatever. They suck for transfers. Great place to rent/shoot gums though. |

Welcome to the area. JOCO, KS folk drive like psychopaths, but once you figure that out its a nice area. Lol Must visits; Scheels - Way better than Bass Pro/Cabelas GT Distributors - very cheap police trade ins, general cop shop, glock/ar15 parts, sells federal hst in 50 round boxes and federal flight control buckshot. Penguin Pawn - sleeper of a shop if you dont know about it. Good supply of reloading stuff. Bushnell Outlet - not just optics, kind of a Vista Outdoors joint overstock store, but there are lots of discounted optics/etc I am probably forgetting some stuff. | Harrison Street Pawn is now up to $25 for transfers. Centerfire is $30. I used to be able to justify the cheap price for transfer against the time involved in running down to Hillsdale, plus the bonus of picking up K&M BBQ in Springhill on the way back home. Now it doesn't seem worth it to not use Centerfire. |
