What's this trash? Is it really going to be as bad as it sounds? Even in commiefornia, and Yankee states they can at least challenge the state. Tennessee Goes Crazy With Bad Legislation Guess it doesn't surprise me, skrametti is the only attorney general that has sent my NFA docs back with a letter basically saying he doesn't know the NFA laws. |

They're passing it off as to protect against loony libs challenging stuff Then it fails to cover its stated purpose, since the leftist Nashville government (and if there are any doubts about the looney part, just look at who is on the council) has a habit of filing lawsuits against the state government, generally with the argument of "you're not the boss of me". Maybe I missed some news reports, but Memphis seems to be more inclined to extend their middle finger by having their council pass something that is in direct conflict with state law, then essentially daring the state to do something about it, instead of filing lawsuit after lawsuit against the state, as Nashville does. |

Same legislature is currently trying to pass a bill (SB1847/HB1802) to extend justified use of deadly force to cover protecting property and livestock. If I'm following correctly, both the House and Senate versions of the bill have made it through the committees, with the House having the bill on their calendar for Monday, and the Senate having the bill on their calendar for Thursday (both had it scheduled for the week that just ended, but rescheduled it to the coming week). Easy argument to tear the democrats a new one with: This bill would allow people to use what force is necessary to protect their 'fur babies'. |

I don't think you can pass a law that says you can not challenge a law. There is something in the Constitution about the ability to redress grievances against the government. The First Amendment protects several fundamental rights: freedom of religion (preventing government establishment of a religion and protecting free exercise), freedom of speech and the press, and the rights to peaceful assembly and petitioning the government for redress |
