David Cook, President of North Dakota State. ISU alum, spent most of his career at Kansas. A registered Republican if you can believe Google. Wasn't my first choice, but he is the safe choice. I think the other guy had a better vision. But Cook will be fine. Both were solid candidates. I was actually pleasantly surprised. Went to both open forums. Not that the Board of Regents cares for my opinion on the matter. |

March 1, 2026. Wendy has said she's done Jan 1. I don't know if she's staying, they'll appoint an interim for two months, or just leave it alone. Timing is a little delicate. Legislature starts mid January, tho they typical leave the Regent's budget to the end, IE we get whatever is left. |
