Saw on the CCSB FB page. One on the north and south sides right before the range entrance in Hernando on Hwy 19 south. It was likely installed in the last few weeks.

Most all of us have spotted the Flock spy cameras, entering and exiting Hernando County on US19, but did you realize they are creating an illegal registry of gun owners and gun enthusiast when they enter Hernando Sportsmans Club Gun Range? There’s also one on the east side of the road if you’re entering from the south. As you know, gun registries are federally and state prohibited under law, yep this appears to be away to circumvent those laws as they are strategically placed there as opposed to on the county line that is approximately 3 miles north of the Gun Club."

| Public reports indicate that Flock Safety cameras and automated license plate readers (ALPR) have been installed at the Ocala Public Shooting Range. Multiple cameras are located at the range entrances/exits to log vehicle tags, alongside other sensors pointed directly at the shooting bays. |

It's shameful this is being used like this, and at that exact location is out of bounds, IMO. The ? now is: who deployed the camera there? FDOT / State (US19 is a state road) or the County? |

It would need to be the "golden ricochet" because the range is about 3/4 of a mile thru the woods from the entrancement where the camera's are located. But I imagine stranger things have happened.   |

I would imagine the software that is used would quickly determine who is a "regular" at the range, and who is the occasional visitor, etc. |

Deflock map shows two cameras at the entrance. It also shows the direction the cameras are pointed. The cameras are NOT aimed north or south as they would be to capture plates passing on 19. According to the info released by the Sheriff it was the result of a random internal audit. Apparently the Detective was looking up info on her husband’s ex wife, probably more. Cops investigating and arresting cops… GD said this can’t happen lol. |

As embarrassing as the Deputy we had that made National news a couple months ago for stealing meds out of the meds turn in collection box...  I think this year alone we have fired/charged four Deputies with criminal charges. |

Auto deletion is 30 days, unless otherwise requested. Why would you collect information to be deleted in a month in any situation is the real question? Does it make sense to hope you can cross reference data of a serial theft subject who strikes every payday over the last 6 months, if you only have two days of data to search in 30 days. Even though a user stops service, the data belongs to Flock. The date of termination of service is when Flock stops mining. The customer can do with what they want on their end, but the mined info is still out there.
