Project Appleseed for rifle. Whether beginner or more advanced he will be shown how to be safe and develop good marksmanship skills. Project Appleseed is low cost and is a 501c3 non-profit. We typically can offer a few loaner rifles so he'd likely only need to supply ammo if he claimed one early. I normally run College Station, TX Appleseed shoots but nothing on the calendar there right now due to my father's health. Another instructor has scheduled an Appleseed at the Impact Zone the last weekend of October 2026. We had a sold out event there last April.
