Other than driving through and quick stops, I haven't been to Nashville for any real reason in a while. Probably to see the Rockets during Christmas, i think 2014, with the family. Great show by the way. They should come back. Never thought i would like that. Those legs! My wife wants to go to the Nashville antique expo at the fairgrounds on Valentines day. Ugh! Being valentines weekend, i can't bail. I need to find a casual to somewhat nice restaurant, etc. to take her. I dont care about particularly about Broadway, unless it is a can't miss place. Some local music would be great. And a fun place to stay for a couple of nights. VRBO would be fine, but i prefer a decent hotel with a nice bar for later. edit: We are coming from Memphis. So, the west end or the south of downtown would be good. |

Wendell Smith's will have the best breakfast or lunch hands down. It is low key, hasn't been remodeled since it open in the 60s, and you never know who you'll see there. But seriously good food. |
I think one of the major problems with America today is not enough families sit down to a big plate of squirrels momma just fried up.

OP you honestly should check the opryland hotel for valentines specials. It's one of those once in a lifetime experiences. If you're not familiar it's a huge hotel and convention center under glass with many nice bars and restaurants there. Google it for pics and video Edit: HOLY SHIT!! My bad! I went over there myself thinking it's been 1990 something since the wife and I did that. I might surprise her for Valentines. $714 a night was the cheapest rooms available for Feb 14!  So unless you're a big roller maybe check something else. I think it was $85 a night last I stayed there. I know things change i was figuring $225 or so a night these days. I was shocked! |
