(b) For purposes of this subsection, case means (i) a hard-sided or soft-sided box, container, or receptacle intended or designed for the purpose of storing or transporting a firearm or (ii) the firearm manufacturer's original packaging. LB58 the Red Flag Law and others will be considered by the Judiciary Committee on Feb. 28 beginning at 1;30 pm.
If you can attend or offer testimony against this abortion of a bill please do so! If not, anyone can submit testimony via email. Include LB58 in the subject line, express your opposition to the bill and ask that it be included as part of the public hearing record. You must include your name and address in your letter. Thanks. |

Any chance of the preemption bill that's been floating around the last couple years resurfacing? It's had a couple different numbers but would standardize gun laws at the state, rather than local level.

here is a link if you dont know how to look up your district and who represents you:
FIND YOUR STATE SENATOR And here is what i sent to mine, feel free to use it. I am emailing you today as a resident of your district asking you to remember to vote NO on LB58! Not only does this bill take away individuals right to due process it infringes upon their second amendment rights to keep and bear arms! Also, Nebraskans are tired of these failed liberal big city legislation creeping into our good life. I ask for your unwavering support for the 2A against ALL anti-gun legislation! Thank you for your time, V/R, |

My rep. introduced the red flag bill last year.
 I don't think I'll be changing that socialists mind with anything I could right to him about the 2nd amendment.

I was disappointed to read that the Sarpy Co Sheriff Office testified in support of the bill. I was I surprised that the OPD testified for it and used the Von Maur shooter, who should have already been a prohibited person, as their justification.
