We are flying out from england and arriving in iNashville in the last week of December. I have never been here before am looking for ideas of places to visit. We will go to dollywood for the day if its open. We plan on driving to memphis, new Orleans, biloxi and finishing in alabama. Look forward to your comments Mart |

I don't think you realize how big Tennessee is. You don't pop over to Gatlinburg or Memphis for the day from Nashville. It's like being in London and popping up to Newcastle for the day. England is only 8,158 square miles bigger than Tennessee. Biloxi is 8 hrs driving from Nashville. But let us know what kind of things you'd like to see and we can point you in the right direction. |
I think one of the major problems with America today is not enough families sit down to a big plate of squirrels momma just fried up.

Depending on where you are in Nashville and traffic, you’re around 3-4 hours one way, most likely closer to 4 at least from Dollywood, maybe longer depending on traffic, wrecks, etc. You also lose an hour as you have a time change as well. FWIW |

After looking on the map, we aren't going to go to dollywood. We have 1 week to get from nashville to Mobile alabama, We thought we could do a day or two in nashville then drive to New Orleans and stop in-between when ever we wanted or needed to. Would be good to see some landmarks or cool places. I like to shoot, bjj, box so would be good to do some of them. Will be going clay shooting in alabama. In my second week I will be spending time with my family and hopefully driving up to pensacola to visit a friend. Thanks again Mart |
